Since he was a puppy, my dog Merlin has had an obsession with his stuffed Gumby toy. My girlfriend had the idea of a life drawing session featuring Merlin and a group of other dogs drawing Gumby. I thought it was such a fun and sweet idea idea that I turned it into this painting.
